Localized Flooding Planning Resources

Kaitlyn McClain, Coastal Resources Planner with the Lake Michigan Coastal Program presented information at the November 2017 NISWAG meeting regarding the comprehensive Localized Flooding Planning Resources website. The website provides a great wealth of information including data-driven interactive maps, policy tools, and additional resources to assist communities that deal with localized flooding issues.  http://www.in.gov/dnr/lakemich/9609.htm

GIS - Mapping Resources

 

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has quickly become integral to the management of municipal storm water conveyance systems.  Municipalities and counties that have GIS in place are constantly updating their data in order to provide the most accurate and readily available storm drainage system information in order to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
